After a 2 year hiatus, Fool's Errand is back with another round of oi! and street-punk rock 'n' roll noise to ruin everyone's night out. This time with some help from friends and bands spanning the globe - all of which have been a huge inspiration over the years. Members of English Teeth (Philly), Bad Assets (Detroit), as well as local favorites 1/2 Ast, Unfair Fight and Remainder (just to name a few) all helped get this thing off the ground - there are even some very special guest vocals from one of our favorite bands, the mighty KONG KONG (All the way from Gorilla City, Sweden)! Which songs do they appear on? There's only one way to find out...

I’m drowning in a glass half empty, empty Is how my poor heart feels Cuz the fight in my head put me right on my heels Nobody listens but it gets me, gets me Into the state I’m in And I’m spiraling down as the room starts to spin Sometimes this high can get me so low Try to resist it, that’s a no-go I found a message in a bottle and it just said help me Read it out loud or just erase it Choke it to death or just embrace it My solution's a problem that won’t go away Was only lookin' for some good times, good times Are few and far between And there’s no end in sight to my reckless routine My inner-demon's always talk, talk, talkin' I wish he’d drop the mic But I keep him around cuz we’re so much alike If there’s a god she probably doesn’t like me, and all the sins on my list Don’t wanna think of 'em all so I just get pissed. Sound of the piper's getting closer and closer, I’m gonna pay the price Cuz that son of a bitch just might cost me my life My end is closer than a stone's throw The reapers callin' but I won’t go Without a fight, no I’m gonna keep on tryin' Gotta fix me ‘fore it’s too late Get the fuck outta this sad state My solutions a problem that won’t go away

Didn’t wanna have to give you the spotlight But you take what you can get So steal a seat down at the end of my table While you bum my last cigarette Wrote you a song, it's only 4 letters long Easy for someone like you to recite And if you’re thinkin’ it’s about how you wronged me You’d be completely dead-right. Mean what you say, say what you mean Claim the stench is from livin' in trenches But your hands always come out clean So remind me again ‘bout how you’re better than me? You’re gods-gift but there’s something about you That I can’t take seriously Because you’re shit Because you’re shit We know you’re shit You know you’re shit Because you’re shit You're a piece of shit And we don’t like you Starved for attention and ya gotta eat so you start stirring that pot It turns you on, so you fan the flames Gaslighting really gets you hot Big mouth, biting the hand that feeds I really hope you fuckin’ choke Shots fired just to watch me bleed but you don’t want fuckin’ smoke say what you mean, mean what you say I’ve got no use for another excuse on why you choose to act this way Wrote you a heartfelt letter, it’s the least I can do And if you read it I don’t think you would get it, let us spell it out for you S. H. I. T. You’re shit.

One look and I was at her command She’s outta my league and she don’t need no man Why she’s with me, I just don’t understand But I think that I like it! One kiss is like a kick to the teeth She only laughs when we’re disturbing the peace This girl’ll be the death of me But I think that I like it! I wasn’t lookin That's when she caught my eye Dropped me with one stare She didn’t even try She leaves me speechless She makes me wanna scream Now I'm outta my mind And she haunts my dreams Now I’m addicted and I can’t get enough She’s at her best when she’s out breakin' stuff And something tells me we’ll end up in cuffs But I think I like it! She turns the night into a game of chance Clarence and Alabama True romance This force of nature made me change my plans But I think I like it! I didn’t know that danger Could ever feel so good And Nothing scares me But I know she could And she don’t play nicely Fuck around and find out This fine trouble-maker Is what I’m all about If looks could kill, she might just end us all Her fire burns like clear alcohol And right by her side is where I wanna stand She takes out my knees when I hold her hand. We hit the road and were like Bonnie and Clyde She drives me mad and I’m along for the ride And she might kill me but I’m ready to die And I think I like it!

You think this is a game? Fuck that, we ain’t playin’ Awww - we’ve worn out our welcome Fuck it, we’re stayin’ Won’t ask for forgiveness, why beg for permission? The grownups are talking So shut up and listen And make no mistake We make no compromise If you need more convincing Just look in our eyes Know what I mean? Don’t tell us ‘bout real life Out here, shit gets real And no one really cares about How that makes you feel I learned that the hard way Guess I’m a slow-learner Now I've got bad intentions But I’m a good earner And If throwing hands doesn’t get your attention The rings on these fingers leave lasting impressions Know what I mean?

My bags are packed cuz I’m going back to Jersey Said I wouldn’t go back but I don’t think they heard me Sun and fun just can’t compete With the smoke stacks and cracked concrete Just when I think I’m out, I'm pulled back in Clear me a path cuz I’m going back to Jersey Feels good to be back home but nothings where it should be But from the Hudson I still see The light Of lady Liberty Staring down her nose at me again Lace up those boots, cuz we’re all goin' down the shore But our old stomping grounds don’t look the same And I’m not sure if I belong here anymore But I just can’t forget from where I came Don’t wait up for me, I’m goin back to Jersey I might not make it home but I ain’t in a hurry Down on the avenue Drink up, the bars all close at 2 We’re having fun now do you’d best stay out our way They say I'm rude, I can't help that I’m from Jersey They cop an attitude but I ain’t even worried Cuz we’re born with thicker skin We live to fight and fight to win Nothing can take that Jersey pride away And the boardwalk still glows under the bright Asbury moon And the block still hums the sound of an old familiar tune My sun rose in the east, it’ll set back in the west But if home is where my heart is then it still beats in my chest Lace up those boots, cuz we’re all goin down the shore But Our old stomping grounds don’t look the same And I’m not sure if I belong here anymore But I just can’t forget from where I came I’m goin’ back…
6.
You’re loud and proud You’re on the prowl You own the streets Blasting the sound of the big beat No sticks and stones Just broken bones left in your wake And a few more rounds for old time's sake Oi! that’s yer lot You're in this 'til ya rot And just us is all we’ve got You keep it real You keep our word You keep the faith Even when you’re dealt aces and eights They think you're all the same But ya broke free from the herd Your actions speak louder than their words Like it or not This is just the way we rock And I don't think we'll won’t ever stop No handouts, no free rides I earned everything I’ve got And it’s enough, though it's not a lot I learned the hard way that the worlds not on my side But along the way I found my tribe If its from the street and it’s from the heart, then it’s got soul 3 cheers for Skinhead rock and roll (Oi Oi Oi) So fuck the fakers, takers and the bonehead crews And If that’s your thing then fuck you too!

The masses picked their king The lowest low that knows no bottom They wanted someone just like them in charge And now they got ‘em Pay tribute, kiss the ring You serve him well but here’s the rub: He’d never let you step foot in his private country clubs Bow down and fall in line to hell with hearts and minds The blind mislead the blind It worked before But not this time. Whipped into a frenzy Common sense ain’t common now They’ve got their own news cycle Twisting who’s, where’s, why’s and how’s Tell 'em they’re in danger Have 'em burn a book or two Keep ‘em dumb and scared and they’ll do anything for you After knowing what their motives are, how can you stand Beside ‘em? All bets are off now cuz The lunatics run the asylum
8.
We got the junkies and we got the freaks We got a skyline built on losing streaks We got the gangsters and the hustlers too Plenty of desert space to bury you A thousand grifters selling dreams for cash But I see treasure where you just see trash I’m from the east, some call it "Paradise" I’m spittin' distance from the neon lights What once was gloss is now a rusted chrome Yeah it ain’t perfect but it feels like home We’re in the hole now and our odds are stacked And we still hate you, hope y'all come back! All the cool kids don’t know or care what’s goin on in The alleyways behind the clubs on east Fremont or That vacant lot down at the end of some dirt street Where all us lost and undesirables would meet But on those concrete stoops we felt like kings and queens If you were there you'd know exactly what I mean. Looking for fun and it all went right up your nose, man But you won’t get locked up cuz the bars here never close, man Hard times and jaded minds wore the shiny paint away They’ll knock it down and claim it’s always been this way It’s getting hotter in this melting pot I love And nothing motivates like when push turns to shove This is what my stance is on this den of sin and second chances My sad Salvation, it's my blessing and my curse Our wayward souls found a place to be Where underdogs make history 'Til death do we part and for better or for worse The people from here must’ve been born hard They tested the bomb in their own back yards New money moves in just to cop our “junk” They came here bright-eyed, now they’re black-out drunks They couldn’t hack it when the hammer dropped So cash your chips in after the fun stops
9.
We stole the show and sold it back to the unjust We fought the law, this time the law couldn’t touch us Wish all of that was true but I just lost a friend Climbed every peak and paved a road through the valleys Straight to the top out from the backstreets and alleys But it all means nothing cuz I lost a friend I’ll think about it everyday My sky’s a darker shade of gray Had hopes and dreams but that all went away A song played on my drive downtown I had to turn the volume down We’d sing along, now I can’t stand the sound So here’s a toast to what could have been Here’s to what never was Here’s to the fact only the good die young But a lasting memory never... That sinking feelings sinkin' in so don’t test me I’ll tear the place apart before they arrest me I only act this way because I lost a friend Accept the truth but I can’t help but resent it Long as I live I know I’ll always lament it Said you’d be missed and I meant it Then I lost a friend Here’s to a new beginning Here’s to a bitter end Here’s to the long walk on my own cuz I just lost a friend I hate goodbyes but above all I hate myself cuz I missed your call Now all my grandest schemes seem oh so small One day I hope we’ll meet again Death comes for us all in the end A tragic way to find A long lost friend
10.
Didn’t know much about the good life I read about it, saw some pictures But if I work like a dog 'til the day I drop dead I might help make somebody richer The wheel is turnin’ in the rat race And I can’t even see the finish line When its all over will I ask myself if I’ve arrived Or if I wasted my time? Feels like we made a deal with the devil So watch your step, this playing fields not level There's a thumb on the scale and it’s starting to weigh on me And now we look back on our own lives And we wonder where it all went The hours faded into days, days added up to years Your time was served but was it well spent? Follow the plan and you’ll be alright Bought into that lie and the price was pain How can we keep up with ‘em when they keep gamin’ the system Over and over and over and over again The clock is ticking and I’m dying by the minute, Trapped in a maze, told I’m lucky to be in it Is there no limit to the weight bearing down on me? Nothing hurts more than the sad truth We try and numb it with the smoke and booze Better than nothing but nothing is getting better How much more can we take before we’ve nothing left to lose? So pay the price if you really wanna "make it" We’re doing you a favor, yeah, it hurts but you can take it Keep up all the hard work, everything in life will be just fine, in time So full of shit man, I swear that they can taste it Sold us on a dream then they mock us when we chase it One day we’ve gotta face it, but until then it just weighs on me
11.
Crucified for the sins of another With nothing to show but the scars We wear them like badges of honor They’re at fault but the burden is ours They won’t infiltrate us We’re not the same Cheaply imitate us We’re not the same Can’t win so they hate us We're not the same Their downfall is what motivates us Cuz We’re not the same Those cowards ain't cut from the same cloth We’ll see if their colors don’t run Tough talk when there’s safety in numbers But those cunts never fight one on one Disguised like us We’re not the same Despised by us We’re not the same A deep disgust We’ll bear that cross 'til our grave Because we’re not the same A False sense of pride will always come before their fall Flying that losers flag which just defines them all We’ve got their number now Dead to rights, they’re living proof And all those covered up tattoos can’t cover up the truth Try as they might, they can’t white-wash away their stain us verses them until the end, we’re not the same Real talk and you should listen, son ‘Round here you might go missin', son You look the part but you ain't foolin' anyone Pay up for all the damage done
12.
Hello there It's been a long time What's this I've heard on the grapevine? Oh is it true You're not telling lies Let's talk some more when we get inside The sound system Was playing real loud The rhythms were hard the message was proud Oh how we danced 'till it turned bad Because my drink, it slipped out of my hand But then a bouncer pulled me aside And before I could apologize He said something about a joke That I made at the door I hadn't wished to offend him But that search was something more I overheard them One night in a pub They talked about the fun they had working in the clubs Oh and the tales Made my, hair stand on end What type of man would employ these three men? Check it, Check it! Well, out of the dark there now stared Six unblinking eyes Which followed me everywhere I shan't relax tonight But what's worrying me the most Is how the hell I get outside, without bumping into them They said You can dance if you want, pal You can drink if you like But don't step out of line 'cos your life is in our hands

about

Word on the street:

"If your soul begs to chant “Oi!” while grizzled men shout about the world’s problems then the new Fool’s Errand record will be right up your alley. Big Up The Impact is an explosive album that comes in loud and within 33-ish minutes is back on its merry way. Fool’s Errand hails from Las Vegas but their sound takes me to somewhere in an East Coast urban sprawl full of those cabbie hats and the smell of whiskey." - Bobby Benedict (dyingscene.com)

"What a great dose of punk rock this album is. From Las Vegas, Nev., this band is keeping the pub spirit alive. They have traces of Leatherface, U.S. Bombs, and early Blitz. The rhythm section is tight without being flashy, the vocals are gruff and as solid as it gets. This is a no-bullshit, punk rock record." - Ryan Nichols (razorcake.org)

"...solid bass and guitar intros, fast catchy hooks, killer drums and a raw message. So, if you are deeply into street punk/oi! music, such as Violent Way, MESS, The Enforcers and Claimed Choice; you definitely will like this album!" - Diego Moya (punkrockmag.com)

"Full of powerful, emotive street-punk anthems, played with real style and panache and treated to a huge production sound, this album is the kind of thing that will have you jumping around your house, punching the air and stompin’ the ground." - Andy Pearson (fearandloathingfanzine.com)

"It's pretty good." - Joe C. (1/2 Ast)
