kwiksotik Great fuckin album! I didn't know any one still put out Oi! of this caliber. Working class anthem with actual knowledge and conviction behind them. Great nod to the old classic Oi! sound with a bit of that 90's street punk/HC mixed in. Favorite track: Working Poor.

Hoss If there's a silver lining to these F'd up times, this album is it! From start to finish this album rips -- musically spectacular and lyrically profound. Exceptional street rock unique to any other contemporaries. Worthy of the vinyl purchase.

Short tempers, big boots, we grew deep roots Our class is old school, ain’t no substitutes Put on the show, we still don’t make it on the guest list A little older, kinda wiser, but i’m still pissed Oh no I never thought we’d ever make it this far Fighting the outside world and closing the bars Oh yeah Keeping warm by all the bridges we’ve burned Might be a bad idea but I’m not concerned, No! The system barks it’s got a bite to match They come with knives out and we don’t get a scratch Shoot from the hip, talk shit, get a fat lip No rest, won’t quit, Cut through the dumb shit Not goin’ nowhere cuz I’m in this for life Determination through the struggle and strife They said I’d grow up but It’s too late for me They said I’d grow old but we’ll just wait and see If It ain’t loud then it ain’t worth a shit If it ain’t real then I want no part it We’ll hold it down, keep the spirit alive Fighting for our lives and we won’t take a dive, no! When the hard times come And when you’re set adrift And when the rent is spent And they just cut your shifts You’re at wits end, you’re hangin’ by a string Hold fast, we’ve got your back Until the end and we wouldn’t change a thing, no!

No One Cares 01:21
The worlds collapsing and our clock ran out of time The human race’s finish line Cuz whoa-oh, no one cares Wide-spread corruption, politicians, death and war Mass shootings, genocide, no heroes anymore Cuz whoa-oh, no one cares

A new kind of virus infecting the nation A media blitz full of misinformation A human condition of hatred and fraud All but by the grace of an old spiteful god Sift through the ashes, But you’ll never find The truth! Buried ‘neath the wreckage of all humankind The truth! The symptoms take over, accusations will fly Who ended the world with a careless white lie? Twisting of reason ‘til your only fear is The truth! Convince yourself everything that you hear is The truth! The echo chamber just made you deaf Abandon all hope now, we’re passed the point of no return Subscribe to submission, it’s just one click away We’ll watch the whole world burn! Nobody’s left, all that was built now starts to rust Tank treads ground all the bones into tragic mounds of dust Remnants of a modern world, nothing grows between the cracks To think that this all started with alter-native facts All we want is the truth!

Innocent Man 02:25
No hope, no say Resist arrest? No way No faith, it won’t cease With no justice There’s no peace And we can’t keep going on this way Cuz the cops killed an innocent man today They don’t care what kinda message it might send Another headline of a wasted life and they’re gonna get away with it again With no rights, we won’t advance With no money, you’ve got no chance No consequences, his heart stopped Killers in blue, ain’t no cops And we can’t keep going on this way Cuz the cops killed an innocent man today Wasn’t running from the scene of a crime He was running for his life this time Out in the streets there’s gonna be hell to pay Protect and serve, their battle cry Our trust and faith in the law dies Makes us all feel like something’s gone wrong This time they’ve lost all our respect They’ve sunk as low as they can get redemption just seems so far gone And we can’t keep going on this way Something in that system’s gotta change You’re outraged when they burn the block And we know it can’t be every cop but we also know this has got to stop
8.
Speed 02:32
A whole generation Birthed in conflict Consumed by addiction What’d you expect? Drowning in tears You’re trapped inside the pipe The needle runs you through Stripped of your self-respect Another pound of flesh Til nothing’s left of you They pay for our sins Hearts and minds rot You medicate yourself Cuz it’s all you’ve got You’re going downtown You ain’t coming back Life ran a train on you I can see the tracks And out on the streets Where life moves so fast The speed took your breath away Now you’re suckin’ glass And it just goes on and on and on...

Dead Inside 02:15
Cut down the ones who lift you up Not many left but you’re too sick to stop Bleeding the weak to fill your cup Whatever gets you to the mountaintop Dying to be noticed, it’s a shame You'd trade your mother for success and clout Friend-ships' are goin' down in flames You wouldn't piss on 'em to put them out No worth, no pride You're dead inside Can't empathize You're dead inside Wrapped up in yourself You've got the money but you lack the class Center of the world Head forever stuck up your own ass Walking parasite Couldn't care less for the ones you harm A voracious appetite Give you the finger and you'd take the arm No worth, no pride You're dead inside Can't empathize You're dead inside Soul suicide You're dead inside Loss amplified You're dead inside You built your prison out of arrogance and pride The key is lost, you're dead inside An 8x6-figure-sized cell where you reside No getting out, you're dead inside You sold yourself out and was left dissatisfied Cant get you back, you're dead inside A fancy coffin's all that's left when it's goodbye Cant take it with you, dead inside. Undignified You're dead inside You're terrified You're dead inside Dead inside You're dead inside

Working Poor 02:57
This grinds an endless struggle Get in line, punch the clock 50 years of sacrifice Times up, you get your gold-plated watch Boss man’s on a roll again You break your back just to make him rich The long shifts have taken their toll You’d like to break his fuckin’ neck The years of toil and stress One payday ahead of poverty Robbed yourself to pay your debts You’re back for more just for the Company You’ve lost your will to live The axe fell hard and you felt the sting You’ve got nothing left to give The bottle calls when the phone don’t ring Building frustration And we can’t take it anymore A starving nation proves that we’re losing Our class war And at the end of the day What are we killing ourselves for? Somewhere along the way The working class became working poor On your feet so long you could hardly stand it Calloused hands grasp for a living wage But your pride won’t demand it And those 4 walls closed in, there was nowhere you could run Marching in place as you went 50 times around the sun But no more.

I’ve got a dirty secret Thoughts like you’ll never know You drove me right past drinking Next stop? My lowest low My face a scarred expression Distinct and all so clear Deep as the pain inflicted carved in from ear to ear Right hand outstretched to greet me Left hand to grip the blade Your forked tongue spits poison charm Your sick talents on display I’ve let bygones be bygones Cost me a life-long toll I’ll bury this old hatchet Deep inside your fucking skull I want justice Her blindfolds gone The scales have tipped The gavel falls Total justice Cease to exist Another bastard Crossed off my list Total justice You won’t be found What goes around Comes around and... What comes around Goes in the ground

One look and I as At her command True rebel woman and she don’t need no man Why she’s with me, I just don’t understand But I think that I like it! One kiss is Like a kick to the teeth She only laughs when we’re Disturbing the peace This girl’ll be the death of me But I think that I like it I wasn’t lookin' When she caught my eye Dropped me with one stare She didn’t even try She leaves me speechless She makes me wanna scream Now I'm outta my mind And she Haunts my dreams Now I’m addicted and I can’t get enough She’s at her best when she’s out breakin' stuff Something tells me we’ll end up in cuffs But I think I like it! She turns the night into a game of chance Clarence and Alabama, True romance This force of nature made me change my plans But I think I like it I didn’t know that danger Could ever feel so good And nothing scares me But I know she could She don’t play nicely Fuck around and find out This fine trouble-maker Is what I’m all about If looks could kill, she might just end us all Her fire burns like cheap alcohol She’s got the style and she’s got the sand She takes out my knees When I hold her hand We hit the road and we're like Bonnie and Clyde She drives me mad and I’m along for the ride And she might kill me but I’m ready to die And I think I like it!

The boys and me took a car and we went downtown It's the only place we know where we'll be found Rippin' the guts outta stranded automobiles Can't you see how beautiful it feels Back home we lie in our beds Is the day really day Is the night really night Won't it please go away There is nothing to see So we pull down the shades You gotta pull down the shades You gotta pull down the shades We're havin' fun and doin' time Suckin' on our samovar and lime Listen to the beautiful music of your screams As we bust the picture windows of your dreams Back home we lie in our beds As if nothing is wrong There's a gun at our heads There's a knife at our lungs There is nothing to do So we pull down the shades You gotta pull down the shades You gotta pull down the shades

about

The first full-length by Fool's Errand! Written and recorded over the last 3-4 months of lock-down and released on July 4th, 2020; "Eastside Anthology"is not only a collection of pissed off, street-level stories about life, loss and the state of the world, but also a love-letter to the music that shaped the way we think and live.

Features additional vocals and guitars by members of The Lower Class Brats, The Loud Pipes, 1/2 Ast and Unfair Fight!

Some kind words:

"...Just cos I’m old and bald doesn’t mean I only like music made by old dudes with no hair and Fred Perrys. That being said, this Vegas band are pretty great, nods to Cock Sparrer, 4 Skins and the U.K. oi of the early ‘80s but bringing the thicker SoCal beach punk guitar sound. This could easily slide into Pirates Press/ Longshot catalogue of U.K.-inspired bands, or even early TKO bands like the Forgotten and Reducers with their solid, thick production. Feeling it. Bald mods forever." -Tim Brooks (Razorcake.org)

"...This is one of the best Oi! albums I’ve heard for a while, partly because it doesn’t stick rigidly to the genre and isn’t afraid to try out different ideas, but mostly because it has loads of great songs. The vinyl version is apparently very limited so I’d advise you to track it down soon!" - Andy Pearson (fearandloathingfanzine.com)
