about

A new bonus track to say thanks to everyone who helped put "Big Up" together, bought a record or supported this thing in any way.

"Life In Their Hands" was originally performed by the Newtown Neurotics, a band that has been a huge influence on me for at least the last 25+ years. As fate would have it, I got the chance to meet with Steve Drewett last year. Not only was he the gracious, stand-up individual that I had hoped, but he also agreed to help get this track sounding juuuuust right. I hope Fool's Errand did it some justice...

Also, be sure to watch the new documentary "Kick Out!: The Newtown Neurotics Story" when it's released in your area!

lyrics

Hello there
It's been a long time
What's this I've heard on the grapevine?
Oh is it true
You're not telling lies
Let's talk some more when we get inside

The sound system
Was playing real loud
The rhythms were hard the message was proud
Oh how we danced
'till it turned bad
Because my drink, it slipped out of my hand

But then a bouncer pulled me aside
And before I could apologize
He said something about a joke
That I made at the door
I hadn't wished to offend him
But that search was something more

I overheard them
One night in a pub
They talked about the fun they had working in the clubs
Oh and the tales
Made my, hair stand on end
What type of man would employ these three men?

Check it, Check it!

Well, out of the dark there now stared
Six unblinking eyes
Which followed me everywhere
I shan't relax tonight
But what's worrying me the most
Is how the hell I get outside, without bumping into them

They said
You can dance if you want, pal
You can drink if you like
But don't step out of line 'cos your life is in our hands
